This is a program designed for EMT’S, Paramedics
and Nurses of all levels. AMLS is a 16-hour two-day program that consists of interactive scenario-based lectures, teaching and evaluation stations. The case-based airway management, assessment of shock,
dyspnea/respiratory failure, chest discomfort,
altered mental status, and abdominal pain practical
teaching stations follow the associated lectures.

AMLS is the first course that offers a “think-outside-
the-box” method of assessing and managing a
patient in medical crisis.

AMLS implements an initial assessment-based
approach that progresses to a diagnostic based
approach to develop a treatment plan for a specific
medical condition.

Successful completion of the course requires full
attendance, along with achieving proficiency in the
four evaluation stations (altered mental status,
dyspnea/respiratory failure, chest discomfort, and
abdominal pain scenarios) in addition, a 76 percent
score is required on the final written evaluation.
